Southerly Fishing Charters prides itself on being a family run business that offers all kinds of fishing trips and marine tours.
Our skipper, Clint (Wilba) Wilson, has fished Port MacDonnell waters all his life. He has 16 years under his belt running our Port Macdonnell Fishing Charters as the skipper of our vessel 'Tharah' doing both commercial and recreational fishing. Clint and his helpful crew Andy (Spuddy) will endeavour to make it an experience you will never forget!
The boat “Tharah” is 52ft long and 17ft wide aluminium boat, with seating, shelter and toilet facilities provided to ensure that your trip is very comfortable and enjoyable and all rods and tackle are supplied for all types of fishing!!
Southerly Fishing Charters caters for both experienced and inexperienced anglers, sightsee-ers, bird watchers and the whole family. All our trips are based on a fun, family friendly atmosphere ensuring that this fishing trip is like no other!!

TOURS
Our 1 and 2 hour tours take in the spectacular rugged cliffs, offshore reefs and rock formations that make up Port MacDonnell's wild coastline.
Experience natures wonderful local marine wildlife in their natural habitat; including whales, dolphins, seals and sea birds. The best time of year to view these amazing animals is between February and June.
We also offer personalised family cruises, spectacular sunset cruises, swimming, Christmas functions and bird watching charters.
- 1 hour Scenic Tour: $50 per person (minimum of 6 per tour)
- 2 hour Scenic Tour : $100 per person (minimum of 6 per tour)
Personalised cruise: pricing may vary (maximum 10 people)
